We are seeking a Charge Nurse (RN) to oversee patient care and provide clinical supervision on our behavioral health unit. You will assess patient needs, implement nursing care plans, coordinate support staff, and ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards. This is a night shift role in a state-operated hospital facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Prioritize and organize daily patient care; assign and supervise support staff.

Develop and implement nursing care plans; administer medications and treatments.

Monitor and document patients’ physical and psychosocial status.

Respond to emergencies and manage agitated patients.

Educate patients and families on medications, procedures, and care goals.

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.

Licensed RN in IN (or NLC participating state).

Current CPR certification.

Behavioral intervention training (or willingness to complete).

Proficiency with EMR systems; Cerner experience preferred.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred:

Experience in behavioral health or adult populations (geriatrics, psychiatric care).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift/transport up to 50 lbs, run short distances, and respond quickly to emergencies.
