About NurseRecruiter

Is NurseRecruiter a staffing agency?

No. NurseRecruiter is a platform — a job board plus a nurse database. We connect you with nurses, then get out of the way. We don't send you candidates. We introduce you to them. What happens after that is between you and the nurse.

How long has NurseRecruiter been around?

Over 20 years. NurseRecruiter has been the largest nursing job board for most of the internet's existence. Long enough to know what works, and honest enough to kill what doesn't.

How many nurses are on the platform?

Over half a million nurses have trusted NurseRecruiter with their contact information. That trust was earned over two decades.

How It Works

What are the two ways to find nurses?

You go to them, or they come to you. Search the NurseRecruiter database and unlock nurses directly — that's outbound. Or post jobs and let nurses apply to you — that's inbound. Database unlocks are cheaper because you're making the first move. Job applicants cost more because they raised their hand and picked you. Either way: one unlock, unlimited contact. You own it. You don't rent it.

What happens when I unlock a nurse's profile?

You get their full contact info — name, email, phone, resume, location, nurse type, employment preference, specialties, licensure, preferred locations — permanently. They move to your Candidates area. One unlock, yours forever.

Do I own the contact info, or am I renting access?

You own it. One unlock and that nurse's full contact info is yours permanently. Put them in your system, email them whenever you want. No per-message fees. No toll booth on the conversation. LinkedIn charges per message. NurseRecruiter charges once.

How do I actually contact nurses?

Directly. Your inbox to theirs. You get their email and phone, and you reach out however you prefer. We used to have a messaging system. We killed it. Even the largest nursing job board isn't a big enough part of a nurse's life to justify another app to check. Direct contact gets better response rates. No platform in the middle.

Can I export candidates into my own system?

Yes. All your unlocked candidates show up in your Candidates area where you can export them to CSV. Put them in your ATS, your spreadsheet, wherever you work. They're your contacts.

Search Agents & Job Posts

What are Search Agents?

Search Agents get you in front of nurses the moment they register. Set your criteria — profession, specialty, location, travel willingness — and when a matching nurse signs up, your company appears and they can send you their profile. Think of it as a thousand jobs in one. Target entire states or go nationwide. No slot limits. It's how agencies build a pipeline that works while they sleep.

Can I swap out job posts during the month?

Yes. Jobs are slots, not consumables. Close one, open another. You're not paying per post — you're paying for active slots. Need to shift your hiring focus mid-month? Just swap.

Can I import jobs from an XML feed?

Yes. If you have a job feed you use elsewhere, we can import it daily. Daily job imports are available on higher-tier plans — see our pricing page for details.

Credits & Pricing

For current plans and pricing, visit our pricing page.

How do credits work?

Credits are the currency for accessing candidates on NurseRecruiter. Use 1 credit to unlock a database profile, or receive a job applicant for 10 credits. Credits are flexible between the two — you decide the mix. Credits are the only thing that scales with your plan. Everything else — jobs, users, search agents — is essentially unlimited or negotiable.

Are there per-seat fees for my team?

No. Zero per-seat fees. Five recruiters or fifty, same plan. Other platforms charge hundreds per seat per month. NurseRecruiter charges nothing. Add your whole team. We kept what matters and cut what doesn't.

How does NurseRecruiter compare to other platforms on cost?

Most nursing platforms charge significantly more per profile, and many charge per message or per seat on top of that. LinkedIn charges per seat and per InMail. Indeed uses pay-per-click — bots click, competitors click, you pay anyway. With NurseRecruiter, you unlock a nurse once and contact them unlimited times. No seat fees, no per-message fees, no bidding wars. It's not the same ballpark.

Why is NurseRecruiter so affordable?

Every question we ask a nurse at signup is friction. Friction means fewer nurses finish registering. Fewer nurses means higher costs for everyone. Other platforms build detailed profiles and lose half the nurses along the way. NurseRecruiter made a different choice: simple signup, more nurses, lower cost per introduction. You get less data per nurse. You get more nurses per dollar. That's the trade-off. Twenty years in, it's still the right one.

Commitment & Risk

Do I need a contract?

No. Month-to-month. Cancel anytime with a click from the app. You don't even need to contact us. We'd rather earn your business every month than lock you into something that doesn't fit.

What's the money-back guarantee?

NurseRecruiter's job is getting nurses in front of you. If you don't receive candidates within 30 days, full refund. After the introduction, it's between you and the nurse. We don't guarantee placements — we guarantee the introductions. At these prices, that's a fair deal.

Do you offer a free trial?

No. Over half a million nurses trust NurseRecruiter with their personal contact information. That trust took 20 years to build. We can't hand out free access — we've been hit by scammers. Instead, we offer promotional discounts for new customers plus the 30-day money-back guarantee. We eat the risk. You don't.

Can my whole team use one account?

Yes. Unlimited team members at no extra charge on every plan. One recruiter unlocks a nurse, everyone on the team can see it. Nobody pays twice for the same candidate. NurseRecruiter doesn't charge per seat because we built for sourcing, not administration.

How long does account setup take?

Almost instant for jobs and search agents. We manually approve database access to protect nurse data — usually within hours during business hours. No setup fees, no onboarding hoops.

Philosophy

What information do I get on each nurse?

Location, nurse type, employment preference, specialties, licensure, preferred locations, and resume. NurseRecruiter keeps signup simple on purpose. Every extra question we ask means fewer nurses finish registering. We chose volume over granularity. Less data per nurse, more nurses per dollar. Other platforms do a great job with detailed profiles, and some charge $20+ per candidate for them. But we don't think that extra data is what gets you more placements. Another introduction might. A prettier profile doesn't make the hire.

How does NurseRecruiter help me make more placements?

Nursing is different from the rest of recruiting. The bottleneck isn't filtering — it's finding enough interested candidates. If a nurse isn't interested, you can't make them take the job. The only real path to more placements is more nurses. Not one perfect nurse, but enough till some say yes. You can't snipe in this market. You need volume. More no's to find the yes. That's the math. This drives every product decision NurseRecruiter makes.

What makes NurseRecruiter different from other recruiting platforms?

Three things. First, our nurses opted in — they signed up to be contacted about jobs. This is a warm introduction, not cold outreach. That trust was earned over 20 years. Second, you get direct contact info, not a platform sitting in the middle charging you per message. Third, NurseRecruiter is purpose-built for nursing — filters built around what actually matters for nurse recruitment, not a generic job board that also does accounting jobs.

Is NurseRecruiter an ATS?

No, and we don't want to be. Your ATS already handles workflow. What it can't do is find you more nurses. NurseRecruiter is the front of the funnel, not the middle. You don't need another dashboard. You need more nurses to put into yours.

Ready to meet your next nurse?

Over half a million nurses. Under a dollar per introduction. No contracts.
