Why We Built It This Way

A letter from the founder

Nursing is different from the rest of recruiting. Nobody tells us: nurses are beating down our doors, we have too many candidates. It's always the opposite. Not enough nurses are responding. They're ghosting you. You can't get enough nurses interested.

If a nurse isn't interested, you can't make them take the job. Not unless you can raise the pay. We can't either. The only real solution is more nurses. Not one perfect nurse, but enough till some say yes. That's the math.

So we built everything around that idea. It's a weird thing to say to recruiters, but we don't prioritize the recruiter's time. We prioritize the nurse's. A nurse finds us on their phone between shifts. We're not going to hit them with a twenty-field profile.

Other platforms do a great job with detailed profiles, and some charge $20 or more per candidate for them. But we don't think that extra data is what gets you more placements. Getting more nurses for your money does. Thousands more join every month. The pipeline refills while you sleep.

We're not a middleman to the conversation. You get their contact info directly: email, phone, resume. One unlock, yours permanently. Your inbox to theirs. We make the introduction and get out of the way.

We didn't always see it this way. We used to have a messaging system. Some platforms charge three or four dollars per message, and to be honest, that's what attracted us to it in the first place. But when nurses have to come back to our platform to reply, it lowers the response rate. So we killed it.

We chose our trade-offs. We don't do needle-in-a-haystack search. We do targeted haystacks. Nursing-specific filters built around what actually matters for the match, like travel versus permanent. Things a general job board can't even ask about. If you need the most detailed profiles, other platforms do that better, and that's okay. We're not trying to be your ATS. You already have that. You don't need another dashboard. You need more nurses.

We don't try to lock you in, either. No contracts. Cancel button right in the app. Our job is getting nurses in front of you. If we can't deliver candidates, you get your money back. After the introduction, it's between you and the nurse. At under a dollar a contact, that's a fair deal. We've been at this for nearly twenty years. Long enough to know what works, and honest enough to kill what doesn't. If it works, stay. If it doesn't, leave.

What we are is this: we don't sell data. We sell warm introductions. A prettier profile doesn't make the hire. Another introduction might. Over half a million nurses, under a dollar per introduction. That's the product.

If that fits how you recruit, we'll be a good fit.
