You must have an active Colorado or compact Registered Nurse (RN) license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and at least 1-2 years of recent emergency room experience. Required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Recommended skills include strong clinical assessment, adaptability, and effective communication in high-acuity situations.
