Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at an outpatient facility in Tarzana, California. This position offers a stable weekday schedule with no weekend or on-call requirements. Ideal for both experienced professionals and new grads, this role provides a great opportunity to work in a well-organized, patient-centered environment using EPIC charting.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for nuclear medicine procedures
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using gamma cameras and related equipment
Ensure accurate patient positioning and monitor patient well-being throughout exams
Maintain detailed patient records in EPIC EMR system
Adhere to safety protocols regarding radioactive materials and infection control
Collaborate with physicians and radiology staff to ensure quality imaging and patient care
Assist with patient education and follow-up instructions as necessary
Key Requirements:
Must have active CNMT or NMTCB certification
BLS certification required
Able to obtain CA state license within 4 weeks of submission if not already licensed
Willing to work Monday–Friday daytime hours
Strong communication and organizational skills
EPIC experience preferred but not required
Comfortable working in an outpatient setting
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
Experience:
New grads welcome! No minimum required experience
License/Certifications:
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT or NMTCB)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
CA State License (must be obtained within 4 weeks if not already held)
Skills:
Excellent technical imaging and radiation safety skills
Attention to detail in patient handling and documentation
Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
Flexibility and professionalism in a fast-paced outpatient environment
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT or NMTCB)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
