Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at its Acute Care Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. This role is ideal for skilled professionals with at least one year of recent experience in a hospital imaging environment. The technologist will join a collaborative team and contribute to critical diagnostic care for both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities:
Perform all routine and specialized nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with department policies and standards.
Administer radiopharmaceuticals and monitor patient response during imaging studies.
Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during imaging procedures.
Accurately document exams and enter data into the Epic charting system.
Maintain and operate imaging and radiation detection equipment, following all safety protocols.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and care teams to interpret and communicate test results.
Comply with all state and federal regulations regarding nuclear medicine practices.
May be required to float to similar units within the facility.

On-call: Not required
Floating: Yes – to like units as needed
Block schedule: Not guaranteed; based on manager discretion
Guaranteed Hours: Facility may cancel 1 shift per 2-week pay period
RTO: Must be included at time of submission
Locals Accepted: Yes
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a hospital setting
License: California Radiologic Health Branch (RHB) License for Nuclear Medicine – Required
Certifications:
ARRT (N) or NMTCB – Required
BLS (AHA) – Required
Skills:
Proficient in the administration of radiopharmaceuticals and operation of nuclear medicine equipment
Strong knowledge of radiation safety procedures and protocols
Competent in electronic medical record systems, especially Epic
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient care skills
Ability to function independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
License: California Radiologic Health Branch (RHB) License for Nuclear Medicine – Required
Certifications:
ARRT (N) or NMTCB – Required
BLS (AHA) – Required
