DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise and manage pharmacy department staff and daily operations
• Develop, implement, and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory pharmacy standards
• Monitor medication inventory and pharmaceutical supply management
• Conduct staff performance evaluations, development, and training initiatives
• Provide quality patient care through medication consultations and clinical oversight
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary care teams
• Manage pharmacy department budgets and operational expenses
• Address and resolve pharmacy-related issues and patient concerns
• Maintain accurate departmental records and reporting documentation
• Stay current with advancements in pharmacy practice and healthcare regulations
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• PharmD or Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy required
• Active and unrestricted Wyoming Pharmacist license required
• Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy leadership or related experience required
• Previous Director of Pharmacy or hospital pharmacy leadership experience preferred
• Strong understanding of pharmacy laws, ethics, and regulatory compliance
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
• Proficiency with hospital management systems and pharmacy databases
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment
SCHEDULE & WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Flexible leadership schedule with generally four 10-hour shifts weekly
• 1:2 call rotation required
• Hospital and healthcare facility setting
• Requires prolonged periods of standing and active clinical engagement
• Reports directly to the Administrator/COO
