REQUIREMENTS:

* State of California Registered Nurse license.
* American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC certifications required.
* NRP certification preferred.
* Minimum of four years Emergency Room Nurse experience required.
* 4+ years of experience

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assess and monitor physical status of the patient.
* Aware of patient treatment needs in order to correlate physicians orders to diagnosis.
* Knowledgeable of Laboratory work-up and values related to diagnosis.
* Effectively admits, transfers and discharges patients.
* Documents patient care on clinical records and on initial assessment, as pertinent changes occur, and at least every 2 hours in a clear, accurate and concise manner.
* Anticipates potential problems and adapts to unit changes.
* Consistently and interdependently follow established safety and infection control procedures. Intervene in unsafe situations.
