Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Medicine

Matrix Providers is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families on Travis Air Force Base, Fairfield, CA.

Employment Status: Full Time
Compensation: This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly. $71.40- 72.20/hr + H&W $5.09/hr
Schedule: Sunday - Saturday, 24-hour coverage, 21/12-hour shifts every 42 days (may include rotating day, evening, and night shifts).

Requirements: The Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Medicine must have and meet the following:

Degree: Associate's Degree in Nursing.
Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC). Certified in Emergency Nurse (CEN) is desired.
Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience as an RN with at least one year in an emergency room, within the last year.
Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
Job Summary:

Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in clinical care, quality, and cost-effectiveness
Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice by all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
Perform physical exams and health histories.
Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.
Direct and supervise the care provided by other healthcare professionals.
Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergencies.
Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people to inform the healthcare team of plans/actions for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.
Perform nursing services as identified in the official Task Order.
Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes.
