Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery - Travel - (LD RN)
StartDate: 3/30/2026 Available Shifts: 12 N Pay Rate: $2347.00 - $2492.00
Floating between departments and or local locations within 20 miles is required. Job Summary: Antepartum: -Assess all triage patients >20 weeks. -Use obstetric triage acuity tools. -Labor assessment and evaluation. -Fetal evaluation and assessment. -Evaluation for labor at term, PTL signs, s/s of preeclampsia, rupture of membranes, decreased fetal movement, preterm premature rupture of membranes, vaginal bleeding, acute and critical conditions, such as MVA, large abruptio placentae. -If emergency medical condition is determined to exist, must stabilize the patient for delivery or transfer to higher level of care if needed. Intrapartum: -Labor assessment, evaluation, and care. -Fetal evaluation and assessment. -Preparation of expectant mother for safe delivery. -Administration of medications including but not limited to: Pitocin, misoprostol, methergine, hemabate, mag sulfate, terbutaline, labetalol, nifedipine, hydralazine, insulin. -Immediate stabilization of newborn. -Administer newborn medications. -Prep for scheduled or emergency cesarean delivery. Postpartum/Newborn: -Assessment and care of postpartum (vaginal and cesarean deliveries) and newborn patients. -Newborn care includes (but not limited to): hearing screen, assisting with laboratory draws, IV starts and care, medication administration (hep B, vit K, erythromycin, antibiotics), assist with circumcisions, care of opiate withdrawal newborns, stabilization of critically ill newborns for transport, phototherapy, hypoglycemia care.

Registered Nurse, LD
Experience: 2 years
Licenses: RN(Compact Accepted)
Certifications: BLS; NRP

Required Certifications & Licensure:
-State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
-BLS.
-NRP.
-AWHONN Intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring certifications.
-BLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
-Traveler must pass the BCA testing during first week of assignment. Travelers that do not pass the BCA test will be dismissed.
