We are seeking a qualified Clinical Resource Nurse (RN) to support centralized clinical services by managing patient callback queues and communicating laboratory results, provider messages, and clinical clarifications to patients. This position primarily involves telephone-based communication, outbound calls, and follow-up on pending patient inquiries.
This is a non-bedside, non-patient-care role focused on ensuring timely communication between patients and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities
Manage patient callback queues and address outstanding callback requests.
Make outbound calls to patients regarding laboratory results and messages from healthcare providers.
Communicate provider instructions and clarify information as directed.
Document patient communications and follow-up activities accurately.
Relay patient questions and concerns to the appropriate healthcare providers for further guidance.
Assist with reducing callback backlogs and maintaining timely patient communication.
Ensure professional, clear, and compassionate communication with patients.
Follow organizational policies, confidentiality requirements, and applicable clinical communication protocols.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Strong verbal communication and telephone triage or patient communication skills.
Ability to manage a high volume of calls and prioritize callback requests.
Strong documentation, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
