Join Our Neuro ICU Team in San Antonio!

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides specialized care and treatment for patients who are critically ill or injured. Our goal is to provide the highest level of care and support in an environment specifically designed for patients in serious or life-threatening medical circumstances. The ICU is a special area used for patients in critical condition and in need of 24-hour supervision.Key Responsibilities:Practices independently, providing routine and complex care with a focus on long-range goals.Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness.Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers.

Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Experience: 1 year of experience in a Critical Care setting preferred; new graduates are accepted.

Licenses: Current RN License in state of employment or compact.

Certifications: BLS (AHA or Red Cross) required at time of hire. ACLS required within 90 days for new grads or 30 days for experienced staff.
