JOB SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical Services provides patient-centered care throughout the surgical experience, including pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases. This role collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care while coordinating and delegating tasks to support efficient surgical operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Perform and document patient assessments
-Develop and implement individualized, age-appropriate care plans
-Monitor patient status and adjust care as needed
-Collaborate with surgical team to coordinate care
-Delegate tasks and support care team workflow
-Educate patients and families on procedures and recovery
-Maintain a safe, clean surgical environment
-Demonstrate strong critical thinking, prioritization, and time management
-Participate in quality improvement and compliance initiatives
-Take call as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active Wyoming RN license, or eligible to be licensed
- Critical care or surgical experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required
