●       UNIT INFORMATION:

·        Beds: 24

▪        Average Daily Census: 24

·        Minimum Years of Experience required? 18 months Med/Tele RN experience

·        Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes

●       PATIENT TYPES/COMMON DIAGNOSES:

·        Various diagnoses – Cardiac, Respiratory, Neuro, etc.

·        Fast-paced, Observation

●       PATIENT RATIOS:

·        RN: 1:5-6 (Day and Night) - in surge staffing could see ratios of up to 1:7-8

·        CNA: 1:12

●       REQUIRED LICENSURE & CERTIFICATIONS:

·        RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

●       SKILLS REQUIRED:

·        BASIC MED/TELE SKILLSET: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating Cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), general medical/surgical skillset – care of patients with tubes/drains, IV start skills, blood products, wound care/dressing changes, etc.

●       SUPPORT WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT:

·        CNA – 1:12 ratio

·        No HUC

·        Charge nurse – may have patient assignment, always a resource for staff

·        Phlebotomy

·        IV/VAT Team

·        RT, 24/7

·        Hospitalist – on site Dayshift; Virtual in evenings/overnight

·        Intensivist, 24/7

·        Telemetry monitoring – remote with Tele tech

●       TECHNOLOGY/EQUIPMENT:

·        EMR: EPIC-at least 6 months experience _REQUIRED (PLEASE INCLUDE HOW MUCH EXPERIENCE IN OFFER)_

·        IV Pump: Alaris 

·        Med dispensing: Omnicell

·        Monitors: Massimo in all rooms

●       FLOATING:

·        Within region and scope of practice

·        WILL BE REQUIRED TO FLOAT PER REGION NEEDS – WILL REQUIRE FLOATING TO ALL FACILITIES LISTED BELOW, AS NEEDED, WITHIN SCOPE OF PRACTICE – DECLINE IF NOT AGREEABLE

▪         REGION 3 - CLEVELAND, KINGS MTN, LINCOLN, CENTRAL DIVISION (CMC MAIN + MERCY + LCH)

▪        _If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)_

●       ORIENTATION (facility and unit):

·        NEO

·        2 days departmental

●       SCHEDULING:

·        Weekend rotation: every other

·        Call: Potential to be placed on low census call. RNs can be called off low census for entire day or placed on call up until 0300/1500.

·        Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays

·        RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours

·        Shift times: 0645-1915; 1845-0715

·        Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
