The Infection Preventionist RN position in New York, NY gives you the opportunity to round units and ensure infection control compliance at the facility. You will conduct infection tracing, monitor for outbreaks, and support staff in following evidence-based infection prevention practices. Required qualifications include a current New York RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and recent experience in infection prevention or infection control. Specialized training in infection prevention and control is necessary, along with proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Recommended skills include strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to educate staff on infection control standards. Experience with infection tracing and compliance audits is preferred.
