Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to emergency patients of all ages
Triage patients quickly and efficiently using standardized protocols
Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, responding appropriately to changes
Administer medications, perform interventions, and assist in emergency procedures
Document all care and communications accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
Maintain a safe and organized environment in the ED
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing)
Licensure: Current South Carolina RN license or compact state equivalent
Certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required or must obtain within 6 months
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Preferred or must obtain per department guidelines
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – Preferred
Experience:
Emergency nursing experience preferred, but new grads with strong clinical rotations in ED are welcome to apply
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
