Adelphi is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing services for a facility in Orange County, California.The ideal RN will be required to assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records.

Requirements:

Responsibilities:
• Participate in the screening, evaluation, assessment and health care of inmates.
• Provide treatment and administer medications following physician and mid-level orders.
• Initiate appropriate actions in emergency situations.
• Perform specific nursing tasks, such as intravenous insertion and care, venipuncture, and vital signs.
• Responsible for complete and accurate documentation of care provided in the inmate's health record.
• Maintain health services records logs and assist with data entry within the scope of nursing related items.
• Coordinate with medical and ancillary personnel as required to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accountability of all controlled substances and prescription medications according to federal and state laws and organizational regulations.
• Follow established patient care protocols, and observe federal, state, and county policies, regulations, and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
