QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

* Valid and active Dentist license
* Must be proficient in the English Language (Speaking/Writing)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the guidance of the Supervising Dentist or assigned representative, the Dentist assumes the role of the clinical leader for the Dental Assistant. The services rendered must be grounded in dental necessity and effectiveness, aiming to safeguard life, prevent significant illness or disability, or alleviate intense pain that substantially hinders the patient's reasonable independent functioning. CDCR will postpone services if they are not essential or can be safely delayed until the inmate/patient is no longer in custody and is capable of arranging the required services. The vendor is responsible for ensuring that all prescribed dental services and proposed surgical procedures are scheduled according to the seriousness of the dental requirement. Once scheduled, services should be provided as planned, except in cases of unavoidable circumstances.
