We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing for our Home Health division to lead and oversee all nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care in a home-based setting. Responsibilities at a Glance:
Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all nursing functions within the home health program, including supervision of nursing staff, care coordination, and clinical operations.

Complete Oasis/Start of Care and complete clinical notes for each patient visit within the Wellsky/Kinnser software.

Develop, implement, and monitor care plans tailored to each resident’s individual needs while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations such as Medicare and HIPAA.

Oversee documentation review processes to maintain accuracy and completeness of medical records, ensuring adherence to medical terminology standards and EMR/EHR systems protocols.

Manage shift scheduling and staffing assignments to optimize nurse management efficiency while maintaining high-quality patient care standards.

Supervise the assessment and management of residents’ physiology and anatomy-related needs, including specialized care for hospice or acute care cases.

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of HIPAA requirements, Medicare policies, and documentation review procedures.

Lead efforts in staff development through supervising experience initiatives, training on medical records management, and fostering leadership within the nursing team.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care plans that promote resident well-being while managing resources effectively.

Monitor quality assurance metrics related to medical records accuracy, documentation review processes, and resident outcomes to uphold excellence across all services.

Requirements

Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments with demonstrated expertise in nursing administration and management.

1 year of supervisory experience.

Experience using WellSky/Kinnser.

Experience working in a home health setting.

Strong background in supervising nursing staff with a focus on nurse management and shift management strategies.
Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and documentation standards relevant to home health care.

Familiarity with EMR systems (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR systems (Electronic Health Records), ensuring efficient documentation review and compliance tracking.

In-depth understanding of hospice care protocols, Medicare regulations, HIPAA compliance requirements, and medical records management practices.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality resident care.

Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and educate staff on best practices in nursing care delivery.

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher; current RN license required; additional certifications related to home health or hospice are preferred. Join us as we lead with purpose—delivering compassionate home health services that transform lives through expert nursing leadership!
