RN Supervisor/PCA Trainer

Attentive Care is a well established, privately owned and operated Licensed Home Healthcare company, seeking an experienced RN Supervisor to handle PCA/HHA Training in the Capital District. This position has flexibility for Full-Time or Part-Time for the right fit.

This Registered Professional Nurse will be responsible for conducting our PCA/HHA Training program, as well as the assessment, development and implementation of the on-going training needs of our field staff. Position is also responsible for creating and managing annual inservice calendar.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

· Accesses training needs of Home Health Care Agency and makes recommendations to Management.

· Conducts PCA Training Programs following the guidelines for Attentive Care's approved PCA training

· Conducts HHA Training Program following the guidelines for Attentive Care's approved HHA training

· Conducts skill checks for assessment

· Conducts CNA Transitions and HHA Competencies according to the Department of Health Guidelines and policies of Attentive Care

· Develops In-service calendar for 1 year in advance. Responsible for scheduling speakers, if necessary. Must be available to conduct in-service if scheduled speaker is unable to attend

· Completes incidental training for field employees, i.e. Hoyer lift training, on the job training, etc. as requested by Field Staff Supervisors, other Nursing Supervisors or Agency Manager

· Completes HHA Skill Competency

Candidates must be currently licensed to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State; Minimum of two years nursing experience within the last three years, one of which must be in homecare; Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Public Health is preferred.

Must meet pre-employment health requirements including walking, sitting, driving/ablility to access transportation, and standing; must also provide satisfactory references.The majority of time is within the office and classroom environment.

Office hours are 8:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. Some flexibility may be required for evening and weekend availability.
