Lux Travel Nurse
The ER RN provides comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment, ensuring culturally competent and patient-centered care for American Indian and Alaska Native populations. This role involves triage, stabilization, and coordination of care for patients with urgent and emergent conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Perform rapid assessment and triage of patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
Administer medications, IV therapy, and advanced life support interventions as indicated.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
Operate and monitor emergency equipment (e.g., cardiac monitors, ventilators).
Document patient care accurately in electronic health records.
Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
Participate in emergency preparedness drills and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with IHS standards, federal regulations, and tribal health policies.
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing).
Licensure: Current, unrestricted RN license for Alaska
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
Current TNCC
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of ER or critical care experience preferred.
Skills: Strong clinical judgment, cultural sensitivity, and ability to work in resource-limited settings.
