REQUIREMENTS:

* THIS ASSIGNMENT REQUIRES A HIGHLY SKILLED & EXPERIENCED SURG TECH WITH A WIDE LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE WITH ORTHO, NEURO, VASCULAR, ETC. CANDIDATES THAT LACK A FULL BREADTH OF CURRENT EXPERIENCE WILL NOT RECEIVE CONSIDERATION.
* Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
* BLS required.
* CST preferred but not required.
* Excellent critical thinking and knowledge of central processing and instrumentation required.
* 3+ years of experience

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* ST will work 36-40 hours/week (weekly total and start and end times are negotiable), with approximately every 2nd or 3rd weekend as a call weekend and 1-2 Calls per week.
* Based upon department need and potential changes in staffing, the call volume could increase.
* The call requirements will mirror what the Vascular Scrub Team takes week to week.
* All call requires a 30-minute response time, from the time of the call to arriving on site.
* Possible Holiday call rotation may be required if a holiday falls within the ST’s contract.
* This rotation is based on current patient census and staffing, so some variability could be possible to this rotation if census/staffing experiences a significant change.
* In times of low census/high demand, the ST will be required to float to General OR and/or the Outpatient Surgery Center (across the street).
