Licensed Practical Nurse- Nursing Home

Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU or emergency medicine), nursing homes, hospice care, or outpatient clinics.
Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for documentation and order entry.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for procedures.
Skilled in IV insertion, medication administration (including injections), catheter care, and ventilator management.
Experience with specialized care areas such as geriatrics, behavioral health, neonatal ventilators, or pediatric nursing.
Familiarity with infection control practices and sterile processing techniques.
Ability to perform physical examinations accurately and conduct diagnostic evaluations effectively.
Excellent communication skills for working with patients of all ages—including children—and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and secure handling of medical records.
Capable of managing complex cases involving acute care situations like trauma or emergency medicine scenarios.
Competence in using medical imaging tools or performing procedures such as spinal taps or gastric lavage when required.
Demonstrated ability to work independently while following established protocols for patient safety.
