JOB SUMMARY (RESPIRATORY THERAPIST – NIGHTS, 36 HOURS/WEEK):
- Work Schedule: Nights, 36 hours per week (Sunday–Tuesday, 6:00 pm–6:30 am), with a 4th night rotation every other week; includes some call, weekends, and holidays.
- Education/Experience:
- Graduate of accredited college or technical school.
- Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
- Minimum two years of experience required.
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Active Respiratory Therapist license (Colorado).
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP required.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and collect diagnostic information (pulmonary function testing, Pad Net, sleep studies, blood gas, and other lab analysis).
- Assess patients using physical exams and diagnostic data interpretation.
- Provide respiratory therapies, including medical gas, humidity, aerosol therapy, airway insertion/management, airway clearance, and mechanical ventilation (invasive/non-invasive).
- Monitor and evaluate patient response to therapies.
- Participate in discharge planning and case management.
- Engage in public education promoting cardiopulmonary wellness.
- Attend mandatory safety in-services, departmental meetings, and manager-selected training.

- Must be available for nights, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
