REQUIREMENTS:

* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* Certified Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
* 1+ years of related work experience preferred.
* BLS required
* Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Maintain a clean and sterile surgical environment, provide the surgeon with appropriate instrumentation and equipment, and assist the surgeon during procedures.
* Prepare the operating room for surgery.
* Keep records of use of Steam Sterilizer.
* Perform initial instrument, sharps, and sponge counts with the circulator.
* Keep the suture carts organized and watch expiration dates.
* Turn over rooms in between cases.
* Assist the team members with gowning and gloving.
* Assist with patient positioning pre-operative and transport patient from cart to bed and back.
* Stock adequate supplies for surgery.
* Perform other duties as requested.
