Lux Travel Nurse
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) provides rapid, high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing acute illness, injury, or trauma. The ER RN functions in a fast-paced environment, utilizing critical thinking, clinical expertise, and teamwork to assess, treat, and stabilize patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities
Perform rapid triage and ongoing assessment of patients presenting to the Emergency Department
Initiate and manage emergency interventions, including IV therapy, medication administration, wound care, and life‑saving procedures
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond appropriately to life-threatening situations
Operate and monitor emergency medical equipment (cardiac monitors, ventilators, defibrillators, etc.)
Provide patient and family education, emotional support, and clear communication during emergencies
Accurately document assessments, treatments, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, HIPAA regulations, and infection control standards
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State] or compact license
BLS – Basic Life Support (required)
ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (required)
PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support (required or within timeframe)
Minimum 1 year of ER or acute care nursing experience (facility dependent)
Preferred Qualifications
TNCC, ENPC, or CEN certification
Trauma center or high-acuity ER experience
Prior travel nursing experience (if applicable)
