Sign Language Interpreter

Adelphi is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter to provide services to students at a school in Aberdeen, Washington. The ideal candidate will provide a full range of interpreting services to students enrolled in the school district in accordance with established standards of care and in compliance with district policies and guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Atleast 48 hours college hours or Higher

• School-based experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide interpreting and transliterating services for students with hearing impairments in instructional settings.

• Prepare for assignments by reviewing subject matter and relevant sign language vocabulary.

• Participate as a member of the educational team by contributing input on student progress and performance.

• Maintain FERPA-compliant confidentiality and professional conduct.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.
