Job description:
Job Title- Registered Nurse (Per Diem)
Shift schedule- Day/Evening/Night
Pay-$52-$52.75 an hour (open to negotiation)
The role offers flexible scheduling, so you may choose dates that fit your availability. We have several assignments planned for February, March, and April 2026.
Job Duties:
Perform comprehensive and ongoing assessments of residents’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
Administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and state regulations
Monitor residents’ conditions, recognize changes in status, and initiate appropriate interventions or escalation of care
Supervise, delegate, and provide guidance to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
Ensure proper documentation of assessments, medications, treatments, and resident responses in the medical record
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to optimize resident outcomes
Provide education and support to residents and families regarding care plans, medications, and health conditions
Ensure adherence to infection control practices, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards
Participate in admissions, discharges, and care transitions
Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
Maintain flexibility to support staffing needs, including floating or shift adjustments as required.
Required Qualifications
Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland
Minimum 6 months of RN experience (long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred)
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN accepted)
Current CPR/BLS certification
Compliance & Health Requirements
Negative TB test and annual physical (as required)
Clear background check
COVID-19 vaccination (as required by facility or state guidelines)
