RN - Pre-Operative

SUMMARY:

* Shifts: Day, Evening, Night (8, 10, or 12 hours)
* Rate: $51/hr

REQUIREMENTS:

* Must hold active RN license in practicing state.
* 1 year of Pre-Op, PACU, or Surgical experience preferred.
* Current BLS; ACLS often required by facility.
* Strong assessment and IV-start skills.
* Knowledge of surgical prep and safety standards.
* Excellent communication and patient education skills.
* Experience with EMR charting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Pre-Procedure:

* Perform preop assessments and review patient history.
* Verify consents, allergies, labs, and required tests.
* Start IVs and administer preoperative medications.

* Coordination & Safety:

* Coordinate with surgical, anesthesia, and OR teams.
* Ensure patient safety and readiness for the OR.

* Patient Education:

* Educate patients about the procedure and postop care.
