FACILITY INFORMATION

* EMR System: Epic

* Support Staff Available: RN Navigators, MAs, 2 Physicians, 4 Midlevels

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

* Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

* Credentialing Timeline: 90+ days (approx. 3 months)

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

* General CV/thoracic surgery – open

* Coronary artery bypass surgery – on pump

* Valvular repair

* Valvular replacement

JOB REQUIREMENTS

* Board: Board Certified PA (required)

* Licenses: Active WA License highly preferred; will consider those obtaining license

* Experience: Cardiothoracic Surgery experience, including OR and ICU management

* Other Qualifications: Local candidate highly preferred; clean malpractice/background; NPDB Self-Query report required

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide surgical first-assist for cardiothoracic procedures (CABG, valve repair/replacement, etc.)

* Manage postoperative patients in the ICU and acute care settings

* Round on hospital patients (5-10/day) and perform admissions (0-3/day)

* Participate in clinic support as needed (5% of time)

* Take night call (5p-7a) on weekdays and weekends, covering cardiothoracic emergencies and consults
