Licensed Vocational Nurse

Adelphi is seeking Licensed Vocational Nurses to perform advanced vocational nursing work at a facility in Cameron County, Texas. The ideal LVN will Provide clinical care and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of an Approved LVN Program

  • Current unencumbered nursing license to practice in Texas

  • Two years’ experience in nursing in an acute or long-term care setting

  • Current American Heart Association CPR certification

  • Pass a background check and drug screening.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform routine vocational nursing work.

• Provide clinical care and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

• Provide care, treatment, and general welfare of patients.

• Work under moderate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment.

• Work under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.

• Perform nursing duties within assigned areas and shifts.

• Perform basic and complex nursing tasks to meet individuals’ health needs.

• Keep informed of and follow all agency, facility, and unit policies and procedures.

• Maintain current CPR certification.

• Have strength and flexibility to safely perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
