Job Description

Shift: Days (7:00am-5:30pm) 4x10s
NO block scheduling
On-Call responsibilities are every 5-6 evening thru 7am the following day, and every 6th or 7th weekend.
Need to be flex and fluid
Scrub Color: Any
Must work every other major holiday.
Up to date resume that includes 1+ year(s) of experience in specialty. Also, documenting travel experience; first time travelers will not be considered.
2 recent Manager/Supervisor references in matching specialty.
Skills Checklist matching specialty.
Drivers licenses with address that matches demographics.
Current AHA BLS & ACLS required.
Flu vaccine required during season.
EMR Experience Preferred: EPIC

Duties
Prepare the operating room by ensuring all surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile, functional, and ready for procedures.
Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures by providing necessary instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and monitoring patient vitals throughout surgery.
Conduct thorough preoperative assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and patient education on what to expect before surgery.
Monitor patients’ condition during procedures, managing airway, ventilation support with ventilators if needed, and responding promptly to any changes in vital signs or patient status.
Administer medications such as anesthesia agents or sedatives under physician supervision while adhering to aseptic technique and safety protocols.
Document all aspects of patient care accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Support postoperative recovery by assessing patients’ pain levels, managing wound care including suturing if necessary, and providing discharge instructions for optimal healing.
