Location: Canton, Georgia

Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
OT: Daily OT after 24 hours and weekly OT after 40 hours
Call: No
Floating: Optional

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Instrument Technician / Sterile Processing Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Canton, Georgia. The selected candidate will be responsible for the safe and effective reprocessing of surgical instruments and ensuring instruments are properly prepared for procedures.

Responsibilities
Reprocess and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
Perform cleaning, decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of instruments.
Ensure instruments and trays are properly prepared for surgical procedures.
Follow established infection-control, sterilization, and safety protocols.
Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage.
Maintain accurate documentation and records related to sterile processing.
Work collaboratively with surgical and healthcare teams.
Follow department and regulatory standards for sterile processing.

Holiday Requirement

Candidates must be available to work 2 of the following 3 major holidays:

Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
New Year's Day

Additionally, candidates must work 1 minor holiday:

Friday after Thanksgiving
Christmas Eve
New Year's Eve

Scrub Color: Dark Blue — provided by facility

Billing: Biweekly
Local Radius: Travel candidates only; candidates within 50 miles are not eligible.
Compliance: Required by the Wednesday before the Monday start date.

Prior Travel Experience: Required

Requirements
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Sterile Processing / Instrument Technician specialty.
HSPA certification preferred.
Previous travel experience required.
Strong knowledge of surgical instrument reprocessing and sterilization procedures.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Must be willing to work the assigned night schedule.
