Adelphi is seeking Orientation and Mobility Specialists to provide direct and indirect(consult)support for students with visual impairment who require orientation and mobility services per their IEP for schools in El Paso, Texas. The ideal candidates MUST have an ACVREP certification.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree
• Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals(ACVREP)Certification
• Minimum 1-year experience in a school setting or working with minors with different impairments

Responsibilities:
• Provide direct and indirect (consult) orientation and mobility support to students with visual impairment
• Provide orientation and mobility evaluation and re-evaluation support for students in the region
• Evaluate student’s progress on an ongoing basis documenting data to be used to update progress
• Collaborate with the teacher of students with visual impairments to conduct the functional vision assessment as it relates to independent travel
• Evaluate student’s progress on an ongoing basis documenting data to be used to update progress reports
• Other duties as assigned by the administration
