Schedule: 3x12 Night Shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Every Other Weekend
Highlights:
Lower acuity step down unit primarily serving cardiac patients post-surgery and interventional cardiology procedures
Typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, with 1:5 in emergencies (no drip titration on this unit)
13-week contract with possible extension; orientation provided with 8 hours plus modules
Cerner EMR system; 36-bed unit with robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, phlebotomy, and rapid response teams
Experience with telemetry monitoring, cardiac care, and medical-surgical patients required
Consistent attendance expectations to support team reliability and patient continuity
Active RN License: West Virginia or Compact state license (pending acceptable)
Minimum 2 years total RN experience; at least 1 year in Med/Surg or Telemetry and 2 years in Step Down settings
Certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
Skills: IV start, telemetry monitoring, ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythms
Two manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (candidates 75-100 miles considered case-by-case)
Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
