Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Endoscopy to join our vibrant healthcare team. Duties

Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures by explaining the process, obtaining consent, and ensuring proper sedation and monitoring.
Assist physicians during endoscopic examinations, including colonoscopies, gastroscopies, and other minimally invasive procedures.
Monitor patient vital signs, oxygen levels, and overall condition throughout procedures, responding promptly to any changes.
Maintain strict aseptic technique and sterile field protocols to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
Document all patient assessments, procedure details, medication administration, and post-procedure care accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
Provide post-procedure care instructions to patients and coordinate follow-up as needed.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, anesthesiologists, and support staff to deliver seamless patient care.

Requirements

Valid RN license in good standing with current state registration.
Proven experience with endoscopic procedures or related gastroenterology nursing preferred.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to gastrointestinal procedures.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation.
Experience administering sedation, IV infusion, and managing airway during procedures.
Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations while maintaining excellent patient care standards.
Critical care experience or background in hospital medicine is highly desirable.
Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining sterile environments.
Excellent communication skills to educate patients about procedures and post-care instructions effectively.
