Job Description:

Step into one of the nation's leading healthcare facilities — Cleveland Clinic Main Campus — as part of their high-acuity Emergency Department (E-12). This ED manages a broad mix of complex emergency cases, including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory failure, psychiatric crises, and critical pediatric and adult emergencies.

This unit is fast-paced, highly collaborative, and ideal for experienced ER nurses who thrive in Level I–style environments where quick thinking and strong clinical judgment are essential.

📌 Travel experience accepted for RECENT experience requirement

Requirements (Strict / Non-Negotiable):

✔️ 18+ months of permanent bedside ED experience PRIOR to any travel
✔️ 18+ months of recent ED experience (travel counts for RECENT experience)
✔️ Active OH RN license or Compact license — IN HAND at submission
✔️ Required Certifications:
AHA BLS
AHA ACLS
AHA PALS
TNCC preferred
✔️ Must pass during orientation:
ECG Rhythm Recognition Test
SafeMedicate Medication Test
✔️ Must work every other holiday
✔️ 3x12 nights only

High acuity & high volume
Adult & pediatric emergency care
Trauma, cardiac, medical, respiratory, psych
Interdisciplinary support: RT, Radiology, Social Work, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams
Floating: Within ED scope if needed
Timekeeping: Qualivis – Lotus

Clinical Skills Expected:
Triage & rapid assessments
Telemetry & dysrhythmia interpretation
Airway & respiratory support (CPAP/BiPAP/vented patients)
IV insertion & vascular access
Emergency medications & vasopressors
Trauma stabilization
Pediatric emergency care
Behavioral/psychiatric emergencies
Chest pain/STEMI response
Stroke response
