To qualify, you must have completed a nursing program from a National League for Nursing (NLN) approved institution, hold an active Alaska RN license in good standing, and possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. A minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical experience is preferred. Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and strong clinical assessment skills are required. Recommended skills include adaptability, effective communication, and the ability to work efficiently in a critical shortage area. FACILITY LOCATION
Bethel is located west of Anchorage, Alaska and can only be accessed by water or air. It has a subarctic climate with long snowy cold winters and mild, short summers and is the main port and transportation hub for 56 villages in that area of Alaska.
