Live-in Home Care RN (Connecticut or multistate license required)

Pioneer Homecare is looking for a Live-in Home Care nurse, licensed to practice in Connecticut, to provide quality care, for a male patient, in Greenwich, CT, as the replacement for the retiring nurse who has worked and lived in the patient’s home for 25 years. Free lodging, internet and cable access can be provided for a qualified live-in nurse in the patient’s residence after the current live-in nurse’s retirement.

The patient has Muscular Dystrophy. He is an orientated and active person, with tracheostomy, and is continuing to live as much of a full life as possible. He has many friends and has shown others how to overcome serious problems that life can offer.

This is an excellent opportunity for a person who prefers to work in a pleasant suburban home. The work includes administration of medications, bed-care, trach-care and some clerical tasks. An applicant without prior experience in performing these tasks can be trained in house. The work will include occasionally accompanying the patient in wheelchair to doctor’s office also to entertainment, sporting and social events.

Must have current Connecticut RN license or equivalent multistate license, acceptable to Connecticut DSS. Experience in trach-care preferred, but can be trained. Computer skills are helpful.
