About the Role

SEARCH, a non-profit health consortium serving the residents of Southeast Alaska, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in Wrangell as an RN – Quality and Accreditation. In this role, you'll provide professional, patient-centered nursing care across the lifespan while playing a key part in quality oversight, accreditation readiness, and care coordination.

What You'll Do

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely per provider orders and policy
Exercise independent nursing judgment consistent with Alaska BON scope of practice
Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support quality/performance improvement initiatives
Document care accurately and timely in the electronic health record
Provide patient and family education, and advocate for patients navigating the healthcare system
Mentor and support orientation of new staff and students
Float to other departments/assignments as needed

What We're Looking For

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program
Current, unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska
BLS certification required
Case Management certification preferred
New grads welcome — specialty certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC as applicable) required within 6 months of hire
Experienced nurses new to the specialty: required certifications within 6 months
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
Proficiency with electronic health records
