Required Qualifications & Credentials
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of assignment or applicable Compact/Multi-State RN license
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Minimum 1 year of recent PICU experience preferred/required based on facility
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
ACLS certification if required by the facility
Current PICU competency/skills checklist
Pediatric critical care experience, including assessment and management of critically ill pediatric patients
Experience with ventilators, cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, central lines, medication administration, and emergency response
Ability to recognize and respond to changes in pediatric patient condition
Current physical/health statement as required by facility
TB screening/clearance
Required immunization documentation or approved exemptions per facility policy
