Compensation
Local Candidates
(Permanent residence within 50 miles of facility)
• $34.00 – $56.00/hour
Traveler Candidates (W2)
(Residence outside 50-mile radius)
• Blended Rate: $54.00/hour
• Weekly Gross: $1,944
• Taxable Rate: $24.00/hour
• Weekly Stipend: $1,080 (non-taxable)
Traveler Candidates (1099)
• $56.00/hour
• Weekly Pay: $2,030

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support the Operating Room team in a fast-paced acute care environment. The Surgical Tech will assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures while maintaining sterile technique and ensuring patient safety in accordance with AORN standards and facility policies.

Responsibilities
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields
• Assist surgeons during procedures as scrub tech
• Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Perform instrument, sponge, and sharps counts
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transfers
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection control standards
• Support OR setup, sterilization, and equipment maintenance
• Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures
• Assist with emergency situations and OR safety protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow hospital policies

Requirements
Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or military surgical tech training
Experience
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience preferred
• Experience in Orthopedic, General, Vascular, and C-Section procedures preferred
Certifications
• Current Surgical Technologist Certification required
• Current BLS Certification (AHA) required
