Age Groups of Patients: Adult and Geriatric Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: Acute respiratory failure, Septic Shock, Cardiogenic Shock, Multi-organ failure, STEMI, acute on chronic renal failure, altered mental status, DKA # of Beds: 16 Nurse to Patient Ratio: typically, 1:2 Charting: Cerner Millenium Scrub Color: Navy Blue Areas of Float Support: Yes, typicall 1 per week 2x per month Special Procedures: Arterial line insertion, bronchoscopy, intubation, central line insertion, chest tube insertion Notes: Common Equipment: Alaria pumps, Nihon Koden monitoring, lift equipment, Arctic Sun (TTM), Rotoprone beds Titrate Vasoactive Drips - norepinephrine, epinephrine, Dopamine, phenylephrine, Dobutamine
