Job Description

What you will be doing: Per Diem, Mammography Technologist
• Perform screening and diagnostic breast imaging and procedures.
• Produce ACR quality images in both diagnostic and screening exams.
• Interact with clinicians and other departments to coordinate patient care.
• Evolve with radiology information system (RIS) and PACS systems.
• Participate in performance improvement activities in the department.
• Maintain appropriate quality control records and participate in routine equipment testing and maintenance.
• Train and interact with students and new hires when necessary.
• Perform other related duties assigned by the department.

Experience you will need: Per Diem, Mammography Technologist
• Graduate of a formal radiology technology training program in an AMA-approved school.
• Flexibility in scheduling, with the ability to rotate shifts and cover other client locations.
• Minimum of 3 years of Mammography experience for Senior level.
• More than 5 years of Mammography experience for Principal level.
• ARRT Mammography Certification.
• CRT Radiology License.
• CRT Mammography License.
• BLS Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification.
• Requires proof of mammography-specific training of at least 40 documented hours, if certified after April 27, 1999.
• Requires proof of having performed at least 200 mammography exams in the last 24 months (rolling 24-month calendar).
• Requires certificates of at least 15 CEUs in Mammography in the last 36-month period (rolling 36-month calendar).
• Requires proof of MQSA-approved 8 hours each of Digital and 3D Tomosynthesis training.
