We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our school health teams across New York City for the 2026–2027 academic year. As a School RN, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of students during the school day. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses who are passionate about community health, pediatrics, and making a meaningful impact in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid and emergency response
Manage and administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
Maintain accurate health records and documentation
Monitor and manage chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies)
Communicate with parents/guardians, school staff, and healthcare providers as needed
Participate in health screenings and immunization compliance
Promote a safe, healthy school environment through education and prevention
Respond to public health concerns within the school setting


Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in New York State
Minimum 1 year of RN experience (school nursing or pediatric experience a plus)
Current BLS certification
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
Compassionate, patient, and student-centered approach


Schedule Options

Long Term Contract (Monday–Friday): Full-time assignment for the academic year
Per Diem: Flexible, as needed scheduling
