Flexible Per Diem CNA Shifts in Rural Montana!

About the Role
We're seeking dependable Certified Nursing Assistants to join our staffing team supporting rural healthcare facilities throughout Montana. This role is ideal for CNAs who thrive in small-facility settings, enjoy variety in their assignments, and are comfortable wearing multiple hats in a close-knit clinical environment. Our partner sites include Critical Access Hospitals (CAH), clinics, and long-term care facilities, where you'll deliver hands-on, high-impact care to underserved communities across the state, working closely with RNs, LPNs, and the rest of the care team.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient and resident care across a variety of settings (Med-Surg, Swing Bed) as well as long-term care/skilled nursing units, under the direction of an RN or LPN, as needed in a low-volume rural setting
• Adapt quickly to different facility workflows, EMR systems, and care teams across assignment sites
• Assist patients and residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, ambulation, transfers, and repositioning
• Take and record vital signs, weights, and intake/output, and promptly report changes in condition to the supervising nurse
• Deliver safe, respectful, patient-centered care within CNA scope of practice, promoting comfort, dignity, infection control, and fall prevention
• Travel to per diem sites as needed to cover short-term staffing gaps across the region

Qualifications
• Active CNA certification in good standing on the Montana Nurse Aide Registry (or eligible to transfer an active out-of-state certification)
• Minimum 6 months–1 year of recent CNA experience
• Long-term care/skilled nursing experience strongly preferred; Critical Access Hospital experience a plus
• BLS/CPR required; additional training (e.g., dementia care, restorative aide, Medication Aide) preferred depending on unit and facility requirements
• Comfortable working in a generalist capacity typical of small/rural hospitals and long-term care settings, within the defined CNA scope of practice
• Willingness and reliable transportation to travel to per diem sites within the region as assignments require
• Strong adaptability, reliability, observation, and communication skills — you may be one of few CNAs on shift, working closely with the supervising RN or LPN
