Recreational Aide

Location: Darby, Montana
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $17.75/hour + $5.09 Health & Wellness

Schedule:
Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Monday–Wednesday: 3:30 PM–12:00 AM
Five days per week


Key Responsibilities:
-Organize and supervise recreational activities, sports, and group events.
-Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for students.
-Coordinate activities such as basketball, volleyball, softball, and fitness programs.
-Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, positive behavior, and healthy social interactions.
-Prepare activity areas, equipment, and supplies.
-Transport students to off-site activities using government vehicles when assigned.
-Provide guidance and support to students during recreational activities.
-Help reinforce student conduct, safety rules, and program expectations.
-Prepare required recreation and activity reports.
-Work collaboratively with staff to support student development and engagement.

Qualifications:
-Education must meet applicable Job Corps requirements.
-Valid driver's license required.
-Completion of required Defensive Driving and AgLearn courses.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to supervise group activities and handle challenging interactions calmly and professionally.
-Physical ability to participate in and supervise recreational and fitness activities, including standing, walking, running, and lifting as required.

-Enjoys working with young adults and supporting their personal development.
-Has experience in recreation, sports, youth activities, camp programs, or residential support.
-Demonstrates initiative, reliability, and good judgment.
-Can encourage participation while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
-Promotes teamwork, respect, positive behavior, and a healthy lifestyle.
