Requirements

Qualifications:
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university or graduate from an approved RN program.
- Current, unencumbered, active RN license in South Dakota.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
- Ability to make independent decisions and handle challenging situations with tact.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, geriatric care laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Leadership and supervisory abilities to work harmoniously with and manage other personnel.
- Patient, tactful, cheerful, and enthusiastic disposition, especially when dealing with difficult residents.
- Willingness to embrace new methods and principles to enhance existing nursing practices.
- Ability to communicate with resident conditions effectively.
- Must be able to push and pull 60 pounds, lift 50 pounds, and carry 15 pounds with two hands.
