Black Owl Recruiting is searching for a reliable and compassionate Registered Nurse for a very reputable client. This will be a permanent placement.
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in an assisted living facility, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating nursing care, assessing residents' health needs, developing care plans, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Your role involves providing clinical expertise, leadership, and support to the nursing team while promoting the health, safety, and well-being of residents. The location of the facility is in Brooklyn, NY (Oceanview).

Outstanding candidates possess the mental strength and resilience to care for patients as well as being able to provide emotional support to family members if required.
The schedule is Friday, Saturday, & Sunday 7 AM - 7 PM
Salary: $92,400 annually
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' health status upon admission and periodically thereafter.
Develop individualized care plans based on residents' needs, preferences, and goals.
Supervise and delegate nursing tasks to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and other staff members.
Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, and other treatments as necessary.
Monitor residents for changes in condition, and collaborate with healthcare providers to adjust care plans accordingly.
Ensure accurate documentation of residents' health records, medication administration, and treatment outcomes.
Assessment and Planning:
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assess residents' physical, emotional, and social needs.
Participate in care conferences to review residents' progress, update care plans, and address any concerns.
Identify opportunities for resident education and coordinate with staff to provide information on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
Leadership and Supervision:
Provide guidance, supervision, and support to nursing staff, including LPNs and CNAs, to ensure quality care delivery.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff members to promote professional growth and development.
Serve as a resource for staff regarding clinical policies, procedures, and best practices.
Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and collaboration among staff members.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with state regulations, nursing standards, and facility policies and procedures.
Participate in quality assurance activities, including audits, incident reporting, and corrective action planning.
Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations and industry standards, and implement necessary updates to nursing practices.
Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide leadership in coordinating emergency interventions.
Follow established protocols for emergency situations and ensure appropriate documentation and reporting.
Conduct staff training on emergency procedures and ensure readiness to handle crisis situations effectively.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state.
Previous experience in geriatric nursing or assisted living is preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor and motivate nursing staff.
Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transport may be required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, push, and pull objects and residents as needed.
Stamina to stand, walk, and perform tasks for extended periods.
Manual dexterity and visual acuity for medication administration and documentation.
Working Conditions:
Work shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials.
Interaction with residents with various physical and cognitive impairments.
