The registered professional nurse functions under the direction and the supervision of the Nursing Supervisor / Nurse Manager. The registered nurse is responsible and accountable to practice nursing as per the Nurse Practice Act, the State Board of Nursing, and ANA’s Geriatric Nursing Standards and according to facility policies and procedures.
The underlying principle of clinical practice is the safety of the resident, quality of care and compliance with policies and procedures.
